Engineering Basis

  • Stages n = ⌈ln(Pd/Ps)/ln(rmax)⌉, equal ratio r = (Pd/Ps)1/n.
  • Power = n·(ṁ/MW)·Z·R·T₁·(k/(k−1))·[r(k−1)/k−1]/η (intercooled).
  • Bottomhole ≈ discharge + ρdense·depth/144; fracture = gradient·depth; margin = frac − BHP.
  • Acid gas must be dehydrated (mol sieve / TEG) to prevent hydrate & wet-acid-gas corrosion (GPSA §20).
  • Standards: API STD 617/618, GPSA EDB 14th Ed §16/§13/§20.
