Engineering Basis

  • Solvent baselines: MEA 3.6 GJ/t (commercial reference), MDEA-PZ 3.0, piperazine 2.6, CESAR1 2.4, KS-21 2.4, advanced 2.4.
  • Steam latent at 4 bara saturated: 2133 kJ/kg.
  • Auxiliary power 0.165 MWh/tCO₂: CO₂ compression (~0.105) + solvent pumps + blower + cooling.
  • Solvent circulation: kmol/h_amine = CO₂ captured / (rich − lean loading).
  • Standards: DOE NETL Cost & Performance Baseline (2022), IEAGHG, Rochelle 2009 (Science).
