CO₂ Booster Station Spacing
Computes the number and KP location of booster stations needed to keep a long CO₂ pipeline within its pressure envelope (above min suction P, in dense phase). Reuses the A1 PR-Peneloux + FVW + Colebrook engine.

Engineering Basis

  • Marches the pipeline segment-by-segment using the A1 hydraulic engine.
  • Places a booster station whenever pressure drops below the user-specified min suction.
  • All boosters re-pressurize to the same discharge pressure (uniform train).
  • Industry typical spacing: 100–300 km for dense-phase CO₂ trunk lines.
  • Standards: ASME B31.4, ISO 27913:2016, DNV-RP-J202.
