About Lean Oil Absorption
Lean oil absorption is a physical absorption process used to recover NGLs from natural gas. The process uses a refrigerated hydrocarbon liquid (lean oil) to preferentially absorb Cā+ hydrocarbons from the gas stream.
Process Flow
Recovery: Feed gas contacts lean oil in absorber
Rejection: Rich oil flashed to recover methane
Separation: NGL products separated by distillation
